2021 Football Championships
Pre-DISTRICT SCHEDULE
Michigan High School Athletic Association pre-district playoff schedule. Dates and times for first-round games will be announced later today. This year marks the first time the new playoff point formula was used to determine the 32 teams to make the field in each division. Prior to the season, every team was placed into one of eight divisions based on enrollment. No longer did six wins get a team an automatic playoff spot, as the top 32 in each division were determined by points. A certain number of points were awarded to a team based on winning against an opponent of a given division, with Division 1 victories earning 60 all the way down to 25 for a Division 8 victory. Bonus points ranging from 6-3 were given for each of an opponents wins, regardless if a team defeated them or not. All times are Friday, Oct. 29, at 7 p.m. unless noted.
