GAME SUMMARY

No. 5 West Bloomfield (11-1) 41, No. 2 Davison (11-1) 0

No. 5-ranked West Bloomfield dominated defending champion and No. 2-ranked Davison to win its first Michigan High School Athletic Association Division 1 championship. Michigan-bound senior Donovan Edwards ran wild, rushing for 257 yards and three touchdowns (78, 71, and 16 yards). Senior Mekhi Elam rushed for a 13-yard touchdown and gained 40 yards on the day. Jake Ward kicked two field goals (39 and 45 yards). The Lakers finished the game with 361 yards on the ground. Travis Reece had seven tackles, Jordan Hoskins had six tackles, and Gavin Hardeman and Caleb Kelley both had five tackles in the shutout.
