Detroit Loyola pounded Catholic High School League AA Division rival Dearborn Divine Child 48-28 in football action on Saturday, Oct. 9, at Madison Heights Bishop Foley.
Loyola led 22-14 at halftime.
The Bulldogs extended the lead to 42-28 after three quarters.
Quarterback Anthony Garrett had two passing touchdowns, one each to Jason Hardy and Dwight Bush.
The Bulldogs also got rushing touchdowns from Braylon McDonald, Josh Nichols, and Khamari Wright.
Qaid Cunningham and Keontae Booker had the kickoff and punt return scores, respectively, each good for about 70 yards
Loyola improved to 3-3 overall on the season and 1-1 in division play.
The Bulldogs currently have a playoff point average of 35.095, comfortably qualifying for the Michigan High School Athletic Association Division 7 playoffs.
Loyola travels to Detroit Country Day (4-2) on Saturday, Oct. 16.
