   Division 4 No. 5-ranked Pontiac Notre Dame Preparatory dominated Detroit University Preparatory Science & Math 58-0 in football action on Friday, Oct. 8, at Chandler Park in Detroit.

   Notre Dame improved to 6-1 with the victory.

   Sophomore Jacob Tuttle tossed three touchdown passes (senior John Dreer, 21 yards; sophomore Brandon Prater, 19 yards; and senior Alex Scherle, 26 yards).

   Five Irish ran for touchdowns as junior Jeremy Gale (six yards), senior

Chris Galle (67 yards), senior Evan McGhee (four yards), senior Aaron McGhee (10 yards), and junior Zach Mylenek (45 yards) each found the endzone.

   Senior Evan Noga had a safety and senior Luke Babich kicked eight extra points.

   The Irish defense held the Cobras to only seven yards on offense.

   Notre Dame led 21-0 after the first quarter and 37-0 at halftime. The entire second half was played under a running clock.

   The Irish currently have a playoff point average of 51.486, comfortably qualifying for the Michigan High School Athletic Association playoffs.

   Notre Dame hosts Flint Beecher on Friday, Oct. 15.
