Detroit Edison Public School Academy Early College of Excellence rallied to beat Charter School Conference East football rival Harper Woods Chandler Park 16-12 on Friday, Oct. 2.
Edison improved to 2-1 overall and 1-0 in conference with the victory.
Seniors Corey Jackson and Aaron Paulding both rushed for touchdowns in the victory.
Jackson rushed for 90 yards for the game and Paulding finished with 105 yards on the ground. Senior Alton King added 150 all-purpose yards
in the game.
On defense, Paulding added eight tackles. Senior Dayo Ogundipe had five tackles and two sacks. Senior Anthony Gordon had six tackles and four sacks. Junior Jordan Kennedy had seven tackles. And snior Tahj Miller added six tackles.
The Pioneers edged Southfield Bradford Academy 7-6 on Sept. 25.
Edison hosts Detroit Voyageur Preparatory (1-2/0-2) on Friday, Oct. 9.
