Pontiac Notre Dame Preparatory improved to 4-1 overall with a 28-14 football victory over Dearborn Divine Child on Friday, Sept. 24, at Notre Dame.

      After a scoreless first quarter, Notre Dame opened the scoring with a rushing touchdown by Bradon Prater from two yards out.

   Divine Child tied the game on a five-yard touchdown run by Nick Percichetti to tie the game at 7-7 at halftime.

   Jacob Tuttle tossed an 18-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter to John Dreer to put the Irish up 14-7.

   Tuttle found Prater for a 16-yard touchdown to increase the lead to 21-7

 

 

at the end of the third quarter.

   Divine Child closed the game to 21-14 in the fourth quarter. But Notre Dame scored the game’s final touchdown on an 11-yard pass from Tuttle to Dreer.

   Luke Babich kicked four extra points for the Irish.

   Tuttle finished 17-for-22 passing for 171 yards and three touchdowns. Dreer finished with three catches for 47 yards and two touchdowns.

   Evan McGhee rushed for 136 yards for the Irish.

   Divine Child fell to 3-2 on the season.

   Notre Dame hosts Erie Mason (4-1) on Friday, Oct. 1.
