Eagles improve to 4-0

Football: Sterling Heights Parkway Christian beats Lutheran Westland 59-7 on Friday, Sept. 15, 2018

   Sterling Heights Parkway Christian improved to 4-0 with a dominating 59-7 football win over Michigan Independent Athletic Conference foe Lutheran Westland on Friday, Sept. 14, under the lights at Parkway as part of the school’s annual Fall Fest.

   Parkway led 38-0 at halftime.

   Senior Maurice Hutchinson rushed for 225 yards on only five carries and four touchdowns (84, 46, 44, and 43 yards).

   Senior Julian Davis rushed for 234 yards and scored on runs of 37, 19, and 41 yards. He also returned a punt 57 yards for a touchdown.

   The other Parkway score came on a 33-yard scoring strike from senior quarterback Robert Thompson to senior Dylan Hunter. Senior Bryce Perko totaled 11 tackles for the Eagles.

   Parkway hosts Mt. Clemens at Fraser High School on Friday, Sept. 21.
